Siliguri Taxation Bar Association came into existence in the year 1970-71 under the leadership of Late Nirmal Kumar Moitra as its founder President and Late Bikash Moulik as its Founder Secretary. Both of them are no more with us but our deep sense of gratitude to them. Today, this Association can claim to be the largest association of tax professionals in North Bengal having membership strength of 450 plus members and consisting of Advocates, Chartered Accountants and Tax Practitioners.

The association organizes group discussions, seminars and work-shops from to time to update their members in the practice of tax laws. Also, the association tries to solve the problems and difficulties faced by the members in their day to day work. Established way back in the year 1970 this Association is one of the premier Association of Tax professionals in North Bengal and each one of us has the avowed duty to uphold the glory of the Association to further our own interests.

Though the website was launched symbolically on the occasion of the Annual General Meeting of the Association for the term 2011-12 but now, the Website is updated with List of Members, Executive Committee Members & Sub Committee members, Roll of Honour, Rules for membership and information about the Siliguri Taxation Bar Welfare Organization. Members' suggestions are welcome to enrich the website.
